About the program coordinator

Kristy Collins

Kristy Collins leads NorCal Stop the Hate with a deep commitment to safety, empathy, and community care.

Drawing on over 20 years of experience in youth education and community advocacy, Kristy has dedicated her career to uplifting diverse voices and individuals. A skilled grant writer, she has raised more than $2.5 million to sustain programs that empower and unite communities.

Kristy is naturally outgoing, genuine, and passionate. As a confident leader, she both delivers and demands high-quality programming. Since 2012, she has served as the Executive Director for Hillel of Chico, where she began with just a dozen students. By 2024, under her leadership, Hillel grew to become the third-largest student organization at CSU Chico, engaging 120 students.

Kristy is honored to work across racial lines to confront hate and support marginalized communities. Every community has a unique voice and story. We invite you to take action: get uncomfortable, listen, learn, and stand up to hate with knowledge and courage.
